“ Dropped of shuttle bus by the new purpose private parking. Located on one of the piers! Small cafe bar with around 24 tables all in grey plastic but were solid- chairs had arms but seat width a little too narrow for some customers. A centre area has canvas roofing with heating! And lighting.emu is simple reasonably priced. And quick to prepare. Presentation of good was excellent and our toasted tuna and tartar sauce came served in a basket with crisps. I observed other food was equally well presented. Staff had good knowledge of English do no problem there. All staff were young and in uniform and very friendly. Would certainly recommend - service not rushed. Wheelchair accessible toilets available accepts credit cards or cash. NO service Charge when we visited Nov 2024. ALL Seating is outdoors. Smoking Permitted. ”
“ If you're strolling the waters edge in Funchal, this is a must stop. Located on the pier, right on the water, the views are incredible and you can actually look back into the city. Boats floating nearby, you'll want to spend some time here. The service was excellent, our food superb, and those views! We had the traditional Bolo do Caco, a Caprese salad with a nice cold Carlsberg and of course...the infamous Poncha! Music, a nice soft breeze, and good food... priced competitively, you just can't go wrong here. I highly recommend it! ”
“ We visited Cais da Ribeira due to its recent opening and prime location on Avenida do Mar, and we absolutely loved it! We enjoyed a seaside terrace with stunning views, perfect for photos and savoring an excellent meal or appetizer. We tried the vegetarian wraps, and they were delicious – the best vegetarian meal we’ve had on the island. The service was outstanding, and the overall quality of food, service, ambiance, and cleanliness was excellent. Remarkably affordable compared to other nearby places. ”
